Permits Filed To Bring New Residential Building To Empty Lot In Southern Gravesend
More residential apartments are coming to Gravesend, according to permits filed last week with the Department of Buildings.
The application, submitted by borough property owner Anselmo Plumitallo, is for a new, four-story building at 158 Bay 49th Street, Yimby first reported. Currently, the address is an empty lot being used as a parking space by the adjacent single-story home.
No demolition permits have yet been submitted in relation to the development.
The permits call for three parking spots and three apartments. The penthouse will have a roofdeck.
The architect of record is Brooklyn-based NSC Architecture.
As of October 17, the permits have been rejected on the basis of missing necessary drawings. Once the requested drawings have been submitted, it is possible that the permits will be approved.
Earlier last month, applications were filed to bring one Gravesend block its tallest building yet, and another neighborhood street is slated to get a new retail and medical building.
