Park Slope Rental Roundup: $2,300 & Under

Park Slope Rental Roundup: $2,300 & Under
665 Carroll St 4 via Aguayo & Huebener Realty

Looking for a new place to call home? We’ve rounded up a bunch of one-bedroom apartments — and some that are technically studios, but have enough space to make them feel like one-bedrooms — that are currently available to rent in the neighborhood. Take a look at the details, and let us know what you think. Lots of luck in your search!

109 5th Avenue, #4
Price: $2,300
Available: Immediately
Details: This spot is all about exposed brick and location. The apartment was recently renovated, and with the brick it’s got a nice look — though we’re wondering if it’s technically really a 1-bedroom, since it doesn’t look like there’s a window in the bedroom, which has French doors. And while the bathroom was also recently redone, there’s only a shower, no tub. Still, you’re right in the heart of the Slope, and close to the subway at Bergen or Atlantic or even 7th Ave. A pet is allowed on approval.

416 Dean Street, #1
Price: $2,100
Available: September 1
Details: You’ll have shared access to a lovely garden in this floor-through in a brick townhouse, which has pretty wide-plank wood floors and other original details. The kitchen is huge and has a dishwasher, there’s laundry in the building, and you won’t have to pay for wifi. But it’s another one that’s hard to call a 1-bedroom — while the “living area” is separate from the kitchen, there’s no door between them. Also, no pets allowed.

41 7th Avenue, #3F
Price: $2,100
Available: September 15
Details: The kitchen is a little small in this apartment, which is located on the second floor of a brownstone, but you’re close to lots of restaurants on 7th so maybe you won’t be cooking much at home, anyway. You’re also just a couple blocks away from the B/Q at 7th, so your commute will be a quick one.

217 7th Avenue, #3F
Price: $2,050
Available: Immediately
Details: This seems to have a similar set-up as the 5th Avenue listing above, but it admits it’s a studio, because the bedroom does not have a window. Still, there is a separate room, with a door and a closet, so this seems like a good deal to us. There’s a workable kitchen that was recently renovated, but there’s all the food of 7th Avenue at your doorstep, too, and it’s about a five-block walk to the F and G trains.

665 Carroll Street, #3R
Price: $1,900
Available: September 3
Details: This one is more properly a studio, but while there’s no door on the space currently used as the bedroom (pictured above), you could put up a curtain to give some privacy and more separation. It’s on the third floor of a brownstone on a quiet block, but it’s a quick walk to shopping and restaurants on 5th Avenue.
