Park Slope Open House Picks
A little snow isn’t going to stop open houses this weekend — and in fact, by Sunday, it might actually be warm enough out for a stroll around the blocks of your potential new home. Here’s what’s coming up in our area:
220 Berkeley Place #1GH
Open House: Sunday, January 5, 12:30-2:30pm
List Price: $1,595,000, maintenance $1,593, via Corcoran
Details: If you’re looking for a lot of space, and all of it move-in ready, this recently updated 3-bed, 2-bath co-op (pictured above) could be the spot for you. Two units were combined into one, they renovated the bathrooms and kitchen, and there’s space for an in-home office. This is a somewhat controversial block, though, as some neighbors have voiced opposition to its speed bumps.

Open House: Sunday, January 5, 12:30-2:30pm
List Price: $829,000, maintenance $750, via Douglas Elliman
Details: This is a 2-bed, 1-bath co-op just off of 7th Avenue, and the views from the roof deck look pretty terrific, even if you have to share the space with your neighbors. Pets are allowed, but there’s no washer/dryer in the unit, only in the basement of the building.

Open House: Saturday, January 4, 1:45-2:45pm & Sunday, January 5, 2-3:30pm
List Price: $750,000, maintenance $855, via Space Marketing Shop
Details: Another building with a nice shared roof deck, it’s on a busy street, but that makes this 3-bed, 1-bath co-op convenient to a lot: the F/G subway stop, the YMCA, the library, the C-Town, and more. If you’ve got kids (and all the strollers and other gear that comes with them), you’ll want to note this is on the fourth floor of a walk-up.

Open House: Sunday, January 5, 1:30-3pm
List Price: $615,000, maintenance $570, via owner
Details: Another fourth-floor walk-up, this 2-bed, 1-bath co-op is on the smaller end at 684 square feet, but it could be just enough space for your family to start out in, especially if you’ve got a baby on the way (though, again, remember all that gear and all those stairs). Close to the R train stop — and that R should be back to running to Manhattan by the end of this year — and our favorite dog bar, Mission Dolores, which is good because the building allows pets.
