If you just can’t wait until Sunday for the Park Slope Farmers Market, starting soon, you won’t have to anymore! Down to Earth, which manages the market on 4th Street at 5th Avenue, is adding a second weekly market in the same space starting Wednesday, May 14, and it will run every Wednesday from 3-7pm through November 26.

“We’re very happy with the tremendous support for this market and we want it to serve the Park Slope community in the best way it can,” said Frankie Rowland, director of marketing and community relations for Down to Earth Markets. “People have shared that they are often away during the summer weekends and want a weekday night farmers market option. Now mid-week shopping can be done with fresh foods from local businesses, too.”

In addition to the new weekday, the market will welcome new vendors to the area, including Taiim Falafel Shack, which makes seasonal hummus varieties, and Izzy & Em’s, gluten-free cookie bakers.

The Wednesday vendor roster features many of the farmers and food makers who sell at the Sunday market. The ones confirmed for Wednesdays so far are:

American Pride Seafood, Calcutta Kitchens, D & J Organic Farm, Dr. Pickle, Kiernan Farm, Made by Molly, Migliorelli Farm, MOMO Dressing, OM Champagne Tea, and Pie Lady.

Some of the vendors will appear weekly, while others will attend the market on special occasions.

The Sunday market will continue in the same spot year-round from 10am-5pm.
