One Person Arrested In Pharmacy Robbery In Bergen Beach Today

Police may be on the cusp of putting the people who have been robbing pharmacies in the Mill Basin, Marine Park area behind bars. A person was arrested for attempting to rob a pharmacy at 6602 Ave U today at around 1:30pm, according to police.

A person went into Millpark Pharmacy in Bergen Beach today, brandished a gun — just like the thieves in the pharmacy robberies that have been happening since August did — in an attempt to rob the place, according to police.

The person fled but was apprehended by police. No shots were fired, and no one was injured, according to police. It is unknown at the moment if the burglar acted alone. The past pharmacy robberies involved three individuals.

The person is in custody now, and detectives will determine whether they are responsible for past crimes, according to police.

Mill Basin Pharmacy, at 5829 Avenue T, was robbed on August 16; on September 1, at around 4:20pm, Cigar Land, at 2069 Flatbush Ave, was robbed; This Way Pharmacy, at 3601 Quentin Rd, was robbed on September 8; Livingwood Pharmacy, at 957 Utica Avenue, was robbed on September 13. Police have said they believe the same three culprits were responsible for those incidents.
