On-Duty Traffic Agent Sideswiped On Washington Avenue; Police Search For Driver

The driver of a red or burgundy Volkswagen Passat who hit-and-ran an on-duty traffic agent on Washington Avenue is being sought by police, who today released the following images from a nearby surveillance camera.

It was around 10:42pm last Friday, October 23 when the 30-year-old male traffic agent got sideswiped and knocked to the ground as he approached his parked car — a marked police vehicle. He was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

The car was heading northbound on Washington Avenue and is described as likely having passenger side mirror damage.
