NYPD Release Photo Of Man Wanted For Questioning In Connection With Greenpoint Stabbing

The NYPD are looking for the man in the above photo in connection with the stabbing death of George Carroll last Friday in Greenpoint.

Police say 19-year-old Gary Correa is wanted for questioning regarding the incident that occurred on August 18 on Monitor Street that left the 42-year-old Greenpoint resident dead.

Correa is described as a Hispanic male with a beard, approximately 5′ 9″ and 170 pounds.

The victim and his wife were walking near McGolrick Park at approximately 9:30pm on Friday night when they passed two men in front of 155 Monitor Street, just steps away from the couple’s home.

The two men allegedly started an argument with Carroll, stabbed him in the chest, and fled the scene. Carroll was taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Carroll’s wife started a Go Fund Me campaign to help pay for her husband’s funeral expenses.
