NYPD Looking For F Train Cell Phone Thief

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect they say swiped an F train rider’s cell phone and fled from the Ditmas Avenue station.

On Monday, October 21 at about 11:30am, police say the suspect grabbed a phone from the victim’s hands while onboard a northbound F train at the Ditmas Ave stop, then ran from the train.

The suspect is described as a 5’8″ tall man who weighs about 150 pounds. A security camera at the station shows him wearing a blue hoodie, camouflage pants, a black baseball hat, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about this crime or the identites and the whereabouts of this suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. The NYPD says all calls are confidential.
