The Clinton Hill branch of Park Sports Physical Therapy opened a few weeks back at 973 Fulton Street (between Washington Avenue and Saint James Place), and we finally got a chance to stop in and see what they’re all about. We spoke to therapist Boris Gilzon, who let us in on the services Park Sports has to offer.

The studio, which is Park Sports’ third in the borough, is currently open from 8am-4pm six days a week (closed on Sundays) and offers work from two therapists. Soon, Boris says, they plan to extend their hours until 8pm.

They offer yoga, massage, personal training, Pilates by certified instructors, dance therapy (the space includes a ballet barre, former dancer Boris is quick to point out), hand rehabilitation, and more, and are in the process of setting up a class schedule for yoga, Pilates, meditation, and TRX suspension training. They use a range of equipment to treat and train runners, triathletes (that’s what Boris does now instead of dance), and other active people recovering from and hoping to prevent injuries.

Park Sports Physical Therapy is also part of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network, as well as the NYU Langone Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Network–connections which are both helpful for patients who are unable to commute to Manhattan for therapy. They accept most insurances (you can contact info@parksportspt.com to learn about your particular coverage), and take walk-ins.
