No 4 Trains, F & G Running Normally & Other Weekend Subway Changes

We’re hoping this isn’t like last week, where we get excited about normal service along the F and G lines, only to find out tomorrow that actually they’ll be skipping local stops again. Still, we’re cautiously optimistic!

There are some other service changes to local lines you should look out for this weekend, however. Here’s the info from the MTA:

No 4 trains running
Weekend, 3:30am Saturday, April 19 to 10pm Sunday, April 20
5 trains replace the 4 in Brooklyn and Manhattan. D trains and free shuttle buses provide alternate service in the Bronx — see the shuttle bus routes here.

5 trains replace the 4 in Manhattan and Brooklyn
Weekend, 3:30am Saturday, April 19 to 10pm Sunday, April 20
5 trains make all 4 stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn as follows:
Days: Service operates between Dyre Av and the Utica Av 3/4 station.
Late nights: Service operates between Dyre Av and the New Lots Av 3 station, making local stops.

Coney Island-bound N trains stop at 45 St and 53 St
Weekends, 12:01am Saturday to 5am Monday, until May 5
Allow additional travel time.

Coney Island-bound Q platforms at Parkside, Beverley, and Cortelyou are closed for renovation
All times until early summer.

No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:30pm Friday to 5am Monday, until May 5
Shuttle service operates between 95 St and 59 St. For 53, 45, and 36 Sts, take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
