Here are the races taking place in our area.
The 46th district includes Bay Ridge, Beach Haven, Brightwater Towers, Brighton Beach, Coney Island, Dyker Heights, Luna Park, Sea Gate, Trump Village and Warbasse communities.
Assembly members are elected to two-year terms. They draft and vote upon legislative proposals and state constitutional amendments, as well as approve the state budget.

State Committee members serve on the Executive Committee of the Kings County (Brooklyn) Democratic Party and the Democratic State Committee. Each assembly district in Brooklyn elects a male and a female committee member.
The Kings County Democratic Party plays a large role in selecting our State Supreme Court judges, nominating candidates for governor, state comptroller, and attorney general, and in deciding how to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in the support of candidates.
