Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and the Prospect Park Alliance will present Brooklyn’s most spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration at Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Park. Now in its 37th year, this year’s free event is the kick off to the Park’s 150th Anniversary celebration, with a bigger-than-ever fireworks display, live entertainment and more.

“Ringing in the New Year with the Prospect Park Alliance at Grand Army Plaza is a time-honored tradition that brings out the best in all Brooklynites,” said Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams. “I am thrilled to once-again partner with Prospect Park Alliance and celebrate with families from across the borough.”

“New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Grand Army Plaza are truly a borough-wide celebration, and so it is fitting to host in Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s Backyard,” said Prospect Park Alliance President Sue Donoghue. “This year has special meaning to us, as it will formally kick off our 150th Anniversary. We welcome revelers to come to the Park to enjoy the gorgeous display, which would not be possible without the support of Borough President Adams, and we thank him.”

The public can enjoy live entertainment starting at 11 pm at Grand Army Plaza, with DJ C. Live and the Brooklyn Mash It Up Band. The fireworks will ring in the New Year at midnight, and can be viewed from Grand Army Plaza and along the north end of the Park’s East and West Drives.
