New Art Exhibit At Coney Island Hospital
I had to whip out a how-to for this post…
I am issuing a very public apology to the Brooklyn Streetcar Artists’ Group, whose event announcements I’ve screwed up more than any other group. Most recently, of course, was when they asked that we announce the opening reception for their latest exhibit, “My Favorite Place: The Artists’ View.”
The reception was last Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean you’ve missed the art. Dozens of pieces – each depicting some of the artists’ favorite places in photos, paintings, sketches and more – are on display at Coney Island Hospital (2601 Ocean Parkway, 2nd Floor) until December 6. You can check out the free show Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
BSAG has cobbled together quite a large group of Southern Brooklyn artists, and does more exhibits than almost any other artists’ group in Brooklyn. There’s a constant chorus of critics who say our area is deficient in culture, so go out and support the show!
