N & R Lines See FasTrack Work, And More Local Subway Changes
If you’re planning on riding the N or the R trains past 10pm this week, watch out for some shuttle buses and a track switch as FasTrack work hits those lines. Details on those changes and more from the MTA:
D service operates in two sections
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday to Friday, June 17-20
Between 205 St and Bedford Pk Blvd and between Bedford Pk Blvd and Stillwell Av. Transfer at Bedford Pk Blvd to continue your trip.
Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from W 4 St to Jay St-MetroTech
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, June 16-20
No Coney Island-bound F service at B’way-Lafayette St, 2 Av, Delancey St, East Broadway, and York St.
G trains run every 20 minutes
Late evenings, beginning 11pm, Monday to Thursday, until July 10 (except July 3)
Allow additional travel time.
No N trains between 36 St and 8 Av
No R trains between 36 St and 95 St
Late nights, 10pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, June 16-20
N service operates between Ditmars Blvd and 36 St, and via the D to/from Stillwell Av; N shuttle service operates in Brooklyn only between 8 Av and Stillwell Av. Free shuttle buses make all R stops between 36 St and 95 St, see list of stops here.
R service in Brooklyn operates as follows:
10pm to 12 midnight: Between Court St and 36 St, Brooklyn and via the D to/from 9 Av.
12:01am to 5am: Service does not operate.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the 2, 3, 4, F and N lines.
