A late September grand opening is planned for the Key Food at 490 Myrtle Avenue.

The news came Sunday from the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, which posted about it on their Facebook page along with photos of the still-under-construction interior and the announcement: “should be open no later than the end of September.”

Formerly known as Associated Supermarket, the Key Food will have the same owners; they simply switched distributors. Also joining it will be a TD Bank and six stories of 93 apartments — 19 of them affordable — above.

The news comes as the Key Food over at 325 Lafayette Avenue closed its doors last week for at least the next three years in order to allow for construction to begin on a mixed-use commercial-residential development to take shape.
