Anyone worth his or her salt, who has actually been on a boat, on the water, knows that we call those things, “Lines”! PS Since the New York Times staffers are usually clueless, about our fair part of Brooklyn, they just might be looking for you! lol. 

  2. I just learned the difference between “ropes” and “lines” this past Sunday at the Miramar Yacht Club’s Learn to Sail class.
