Morning Mug: Nighttime Nostalgia

Looking east from Nostrand Avenue. In the foreground, attached houses on the 2600 block of Haring Street (between Ave Z & Voorhies Ave). In the background, Knapp Street and beyond. Sea Crest apartments at frame right, showing the original red brick façade (sans white paint job). Notably absent are the klieg light towers of the Kings Bay football field… In the present day, the trees have grown tall enough to obscure most of the lights – even during winter. This photo was taken February, 1981. From 35mm negative.
