Missing Senior: Toby Sabin, Alzheimer’s Patient [FOUND]


UPDATE (9/13/2012 @ 9:50 a.m.): Michael Sabin just informed us that his mother was found this morning in good physical condition. He thanks the community for their help and thoughts throughout the ordeal.

We received an e-mail tonight from Michael Sabin, a reader whose mother went missing this morning. He wrote:

My mother, Toby Sabin has been missing since 10am this morning. She is 74 years old, approx 5’2″, white, 120 lbs. She has been missing from her home in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn (Ocean Avenue and Neck Road). She may be confused. She is wearing an aqua colored blouse and black pants.

Sabin said his mother suffers from early stage Alzheimer’s. If you have seen Toby, please call Michael at (917) 975-7491.

  1. I hope they find her soon and she is okay. I know what he must be going through since that once happened to my mother many years ago.

    She walked out of the house at 2AM. The police found her okay walking three miles from home at 10 AM the following morning. To all the people who say bad things about the 61st and how they are good for nothing, they had both their cars looking for her all night long and found her in the jurisdiction of the 60th pct. They didn’t stop looking when the reached the limits of their precinct.
