Missing Senior Alert: Gerald Kinnison, 65, Suffers From Dementia



Keep an eye out for Gerald Kinnison, a 65-year-old man who went missing in Coney Island Tuesday night.

Kinnison, who suffers from dementia, was last seen August 26 just after 11:00 p.m. at Surf Manor (2316 Surf Avenue), the assisted living facility where he lives.

He is 6’1″, 175 lbs, with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes. He wears a metal necklace with identifying information.

  1. As our population ages, the incidents of elderly demented walking off is getting more frequent. In an alternate universe, people would be ‘chipped’ and implanted so they could be quickly located for their own safety. However, maybe in our world, Sen. Schumer could hold a Sunday press conference calling for a billion dollars to be spent on wrist-watch-like transponders for every senile person. It may be more cost efficient than all the money our police now spend for searching for these lost people. What do you think? Ditto for the Autistic youth.
