A Midwood man was busted for sexually exploiting young girls on Facebook and threatening kids until they agreed to video themselves performing sexual acts, the NY Daily News first reported.

Ruslan Mirvis, 34, has been charged with the sexual exploitation of children after confessing to convincing minors “to take pictures and videos of themselves and other minor victims engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” according to court papers obtained by the Daily.

Allegedly, Mirvis pretended to be a 16-year-old boy, and used Facebook’s video calling feature with at least 14 girls ages 12 to 16, going back to at least last March, reports the news outlet. The papers also document Mirvis convincing a young girl to touch herself and film herself performing oral sex on another child.

“Mirvis stated that, at times, he would … use threats in connection with his production of child pornography,” the papers said.

The investigation began on April 14, when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about 20 explicit pictures and videos linked to a Facebook account.

Ruslan Mirvis was ordered held without bail after he was arraigned Friday in Brooklyn Federal Court, according to authorities.

Mirvis was also a Midwood business owner, according to Facebook and Yelp reviews. He is a former CEO of Mirvis Events in Midwood, a company that planned birthday parties for children, among other events.
