MIDWOOD – Nine units are up for grabs on the NYC Housing Connect website, though at 130% of the Area Median Income (AMI), they aren’t the absolute steal that most Housing Lottery units are.

On Streeteasy, market rate units in the same building list out at about $150 more per month for one-bedroom units—not a bad savings if you’re entering a free lottery. Plus, at $2,200 a month, the two-bedroom units aren’t to be scoffed at.

Located on Kings Highway between 28th and 29th Streets, the units aren’t particularly close to public transit options. Sure, the B7 and B82 buses pick up right across the street, but it’s a bit of a hike to the Kings Highway B/Q station: 10 minutes by bus, or a 15-minute walk at a brisk pace.

The building itself looks to be a relatively glossy luxury development, with 28 total units spread across six stories, built in 2016. No grabby amenities are listed like in other developments, but at least there’s a coin-op laundry on site.

The listing can be seen online at the Housing Connect site, but if you’re going to throw your hat in the ring, you better hurry—applications close on May 4!
