Update (March 25 at 10am): The victim is identified as Natik Nisimov, a Gravesend resident and salon owner that friends described as having a “great heart,” despite a lengthy rap sheet.

A 29-year-old man was found shot dead on the sidewalk in front of an Ocean Parkway home this morning.

Cops responded to a call just before 7am today and arrived at 1663 Ocean Parkway, between Avenue P and Quentin Road, to find the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The location is an active crime scene, and the incident is still under investigation. The victim’s identification is not available at this time.

JPUpdates was the first to report the shooting, with the victim described as a Russian man of Jewish descent.
