Man Arrested For Fatal Stabbing In Fort Greene

Police have arrested 42-year-old David Haigh of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the murder of a Fort Greene man early Sunday.

On Sunday, April 9, at approximately 6:03am, police responded to a call at 30 Fleet Walk at the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the body of 41-year-old James Johnson with multiple stab wounds to his torso inside a fourth floor apartment, the NYPD reported. The victim still had a knife lodged in his chest, police confirmed.

The victim was pronounced dead when EMS arrived at the scene.

Haigh is being charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
