Luna Park Spotlights Local Musical Talent With Summer Series

The ultimate summertime destination gets even better with the Summer Series at Luna Park. Beginning this month through September 4, Luna Park, New York City’s largest amusement park, will host a series of special events, pop-up concerts, and electric performances each weekend.

The series — which spotlights Brooklyn and NYC based or born artists and performers — kicked off on last weekend with Latin jazz band Los Hacheros. This Sunday, July 17, 16-year-old pop singer and songwriter Ellise Gitas will dazzle park goers at 4pm.

“The Summer Series is just one of the ways Luna Park celebrates the immense talent of our community,” said Alberto Zamperla, President of Zamperla Group and operator of Luna Park. “By creating and hosting such impressive and entertaining programming, we have the opportunity to not only showcase this local talent, but to also enhance the experience of our visitors this 2016 Summer Season.”

The lineup this summer includes:

  • July 17: Ellise Gitas
  • July 23: Faulkner
  • July 30: The Delorean Sisters
  • August 5: DJ Sasha Foo
  • August 6: Apostrophe Base 12 Party
  • August 20: SheRoxxx

The entertainment series adds to Luna Park’s position as a one-stop destination for fun. There is no other place in the city where people of all ages can enjoy a day of thrilling amusement park rides, tantalizing boardwalk food, and fun-and-sun in the sand and water.
