Luda’s Dumplings Opening Soon In Sheepshead
Over just off the Sheepshead Bay Road where Infinite Auto Leasing used to be, a new restaurant is opening up. Luda’s Dumplings, better described as a pelmeni bar, will focus on fresh, all-natural ingredients and careful, deliberate process to craft the best pelmeni, period.
Who’s Luda? The place is named after the mother of one of the proprietors.
After emigrating from Russia in 1996, Luda settled with her family in Brooklyn, and four years later opened an Eastern European fast food restaurant named Pelmenaya on the corner of Ave U and E 9th St, we are told by the owners. Her son grew up making dumplings, and are now branching out on their own.
