Learn About Affordable Healthcare Options at the Free Brooklyn Art Space Seminar

Park Slope is home to a considerable creative community. It’s one of the things that makes living here so great! Chances are, though, that a good number of these artists, musicians, writers, and freelancers are also uninsured.

If you are part of the club and have ever been completely overwhelmed by researching your healthcare options, stop by the Brooklyn Art Space tonight at 6:30 p.m. for a free seminar on Affordable Health Insurance.

The seminar will focus on the Affordable Care Act, clearly explaining the exchanges, essential health plans, subsidies, tax credits, and expanded federal programs that will hopefully make quality health care affordable. It will also describe the programs already in effect, such as the small business health insurance subsidy. In addition, there will be a review and a Q&A regarding current options for health insurance and health care in the New York City metro area.

Leading the seminar is Jim Brown, currently the National Director of Health Services at The Actors Fund and operations superviser at the Artists’ Health Insurance Resource Center.

168 Seventh Street between 2nd & 3rd Avenues, 6:30 p.m., RSVP here
