Lark Receives Proclamation From Boro President’s Office at Grand Opening

Yesterday was officially named Lark day, according to a proclamation from the Brooklyn Borough President’s office, which was presented last night at the Church Avenue cafe’s grand opening celebration.

Eileen Newman, pictured above on the right, presented the proclamation to Lark owners Lori Kranczer and Kari Browne on behalf of Borough President Marty Markowitz.

“This means so much to us,” said Kari. “The past few months have been amazing, and we owe it all to everyone here tonight, and to many who couldn’t make it. Thank you all!”

Congratulations, Lark! If you haven’t been by their space at 1007 Church Avenue yet, be sure to stop by for coffee, doughnuts, ice cream, sandwiches, beer, wine, and more. Plus check out their events calendar, which includes classes for kids and adults. And on the walls right now are Haitian paintings for sale as part of the neighborhood-wide Ditmas Park 4 Haiti fundraiser.

Lark is open Monday -Thursday 7am-7pm, Friday 7am-8pm, Saturday 8am-8pm, and Sunday 8am-7pm.
