Lark Opens Tomorrow

Lark, the new coffee shop everyone’s talking about in Ditmas Park is opening tomorrow morning on Church between E10th and Stratford, right next to Am Thai. Hours will be 7am to 7pm to start, but since they do have  a liquor licence, there’s hope that it will stay open later.

In the meantime, here’s their lineup for the kids area:

FRIDAY July 13 @ 11-11:45am: Tot Yoga (Ages 1-4)
Kids Yoga Adventures with April
Come learn yoga poses through the journey of a story or theme. This creative class uses music, rhyme & movement to help toddlers/preschoolers learn what their bodies can do. The Kids Yoga Adventure is a lively, fun way to explore breath, stillness and movement, develop coordination, balance and focus, and have some social time with other little-people just like them! Parents and caregivers are required, and are encouraged to let their own inner child play to get their stretch-on too! Explore yoga with us! Suggested $10 donation.
SUNDAY July 15th @ 3:30pm: Mil’s Trills Concert (all ages)
Music & Stories for Grown ups + Children
An innovative way to share music with your child through an engaging live performance series with a rotating cast of musical guests.  Led by composer & musician,  Amelia Robinson who charms audiences with quirky, whimsical original songs and an enchanting voice. Suggested $15 donation.
MONDAY July 16th @11am: LARK STORY HOUR (all ages)
Featured guest Richelle Dwyer will join us for a special AUSTRALIAN story hour featuring stories and songs from the bush/outback. Fun for everyone! FREE
TUESDAY July 17th @10am: Silly Song Sing-A-Long with “the Ballooniac” (Ages 0-5)
Mike Gold (aka “the Ballooniac”), balloon artist, children’s entertainer and member of the popular kid’s band Funkey Monkeys, offers a sing-a-long for children ages 0 to 5 years . Mike infuses his unique flair in old favorites like “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountain” and “The Itsy Bitsy Spider,” as well as brings to life original tunes such as his classic Funkey Monkey hit, “Hey, Mr. Tuna.  Jump, clap, dance, sing, and be as silly as you want! Suggested $10 donation.
