Council Member Brad Lander is joining other members of the City Council to replenish the stocks of local food pantries around NYC, and you can help.

Lander is holding a food drive through the end of next week to benefit CHiPS, the local charity that serves the hungry and homeless regardless of faith, race or ethnicity, and is supported by local churches, synagogues, civic groups, and volunteers.

Neighbors are asked to bring non-perishable food items to his office at 456 5th Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets), 3rd floor, this week and next, from 9am-5pm. For more information call 718-499-1090.

If you can’t make it, note that CHiPS accepts monetary donations online, as well as through an Amazon wish list.
