Come Together — to celebrate 50 years of the most influential band in rock and roll history, The Beatles! The Broadway smash hit RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles makes its Brooklyn debut for a limited engagement run on Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5 at the beautifully restored Kings Theatre.
RAIN is a colorful, multi-media experience that takes fans of all ages on a journey through the iconic bands’ full discography, including the most challenging songs The Beatles themselves recorded in the studio, but never performed for a live audience. RAIN truly is the next best thing to seeing the Beatles live, giving generations of fans an experience not achievable from watching movies or clips online of The Beatles performing live. This is the real deal – the voices, the costumes, the sets, the hand gestures (right down to the hair.) Some of the technology onstage may not have been around during the initial Beatles Mania (for example a huge state-of-the-art LED screen that completely surrounds the band on stage), however, this element only brings this time period to life in-stereo. The LED screen re-creates everything from some of The Beatles’ famous album covers like “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Abbey Road,” to the Ed Sullivan Show’s set, camera flashes and news reel footage.
