Kings Bay Y Takes You On An Art Journey
The Kings Bay YM-YWHA is putting the finishing touches on their annual exhibition of local artists, and they’re inviting you down to tonight’s opening celebration. The event kicks off at 9:00 p.m. at 3495 Nostrand Avenue, and the suggested donation is $10 per person.

Featured Artists:
Andrew Federiciano has been drawing since he was in diapers. An artist of various talents, he attended the prestigious High School of Art and Design in Manhattan with a focus in industrial design, architecture, and cartooning animation. Although his tool of choice is the pen, Andrew has been working in various mediums including pencil, acrylic and clay sculpting. He currently resides and works in Brooklyn as a freelance artist. Noteworthy projects include original artwork and signage for the Tamaqua Marina; murals for Sheepshead Bay High School, and a new, customized line of t-shirt designs.
Jordan Elizabeth Gelber is a budding graphic designer and graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, where she received her B.A. in Communication Arts and Graphic Design. Jordan was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Design upon completion of her Senior Art Show, and received the Golden Key for Graphic Design at graduation. Select works from Jordan’s Senior Art Show were featured in two galleries and focused on music merchandising. She currently runs her own custom t-shirt design company, while continuing to work as an independent graphic designer.
Phillip Gelber is a man who lives to paint. A Holocaust survivor who has seen more of the world than most, Phillip loves to express himself through his art. His work has been the subject of countless art shows that showcase his various oil paintings. Images range from the Wailing Wall to that of an intimate Sabbath Dinner. His faith in Judaism has highly influenced his imagery and he will continue to tell the story of his life through his art for as long
as he lives.
