Kids, Start Reading Now To Join In On The February Middle Grade Book Club
Have you got (or are you) a kid between the ages of 9 and 12 who loves to read, and who loves to talk about books? The next edition of the middle grade book club at Powerhouse on 8th (1111 8th Avenue) is coming up on Wednesday, February 5 at 5:30pm, and the month’s book is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.
Kids’ book blogger Jordan B. Nielsen of The Rusty Key will host a discussion of the book, which is based on the author’s own experiences, and is about the “contemporary adolescence of one Native American boy as he attempts to break away from the life he thought he was destined to live.”
