Searching for the perfect diamond for that special someone? Now might be the perfect time for you to snag deals on engagement rings, watches, necklaces and more.

J.B.D. Jewelers (2169 86th Street) will close its doors for good on June 29 and is currently running a going-out-of business sale, the Bensonhurst Bean has learned.

Established in 1974 as J.E.D. Jewelers, loyal customers have been coming to the tiny store for silver, gold, and diamond-studded gifts for decades. Many neighbors are on a first-name basis with Dan, the store’s friendly owner who has been manning the counter for nearly 30 years.

The shop offers a wide variety of fine jewelry for men and women in many price ranges — perfect for Father’s Day, Communion, Confirmation, graduation, and Christmas gifts — and now all of the merchandise is all 50 percent off!

It is still unclear what kind of business will replace the jewelry store, but we are still sorry to see J.B.D. go. Good luck, Dan, on your next business venture.
