Ready to roll? The ice has been removed from the rinks at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park, and it’s ready for roller skating!

Just in time for the public school spring break, starting on Saturday, April 12 at 10am, roller demons can lace up and take a spin. The rink is open daily, and admission to skate costs $6 Monday-Thursday, and $8 Friday-Sunday and holidays; every Monday (excluding school holidays), children 12 and under receive free rink admission between 2-6pm for unlimited skating if accompanied by an adult. Skate rentals are $6 per person plus tax.

They’ll also be adding a range of new programs, classes like learning to skate and roller hockey, and special events including Friday Night Dance Parties, Mommy and Me programs, and holiday events. Coming up first is Roller Derby Day on Saturday, April 19 from 3-10pm, when the Gotham Girls Junior Roller Derby teams will host free events and activities and play a live exhibition game, and discuss the center’s upcoming roller derby class.
