A 12-year-old boy became the latest victim of a spate of iPhone robberies in the Park Slope area.

According to the police, on Monday, February 1, 2016 at about 2:20pm, the victim was approached by five males just outside of J.J. Byrne Playground.

Cops say the suspects approached the victim near the corner of 5th Avenue and 4th Street. One of the suspects snatched an iPhone from 12-year-old’s hand.

When the victim attempted to retrieve his iPhone, one of the suspects then shoved him to the ground.  The victim suffered an injury to his left leg, according to police.

As of Wednesday morning, arrests have not yet been made. Police cannot confirm if this recent robbery is related to other recent incidents in the neighborhood.

Two other incidents occurring five blocks from each other on the evening of Thursday, January 28 have been the source of serious concern from neighbors — particularly parents — due to the age of two victims.

The victims in one of those incidents are two male teenagers — one 15-years-old and the other 16.
