Honoring The 12th Anniversary of September 11
Dan Janzen September 11

Today we take a moment to remember the thousands of men, women and children who were lost in the attacks on September 11, 2001, and the selfless heroes that put their lives on the line to rescue those in peril.

If you’re looking for ways to acknowledge today’s anniversary, consider joining others that have already pledged to do a good deed through the 9/11 Day Observance website.

It’s also a wonderful time to plan a visit to the breathtaking 9/11 Memorial. The memorial is open daily from 10am to 8pm, with the last entry at 7pm. Admission is free, but you must obtain a visitor pass. Passes reserved online do carry a $2 per pass service charge, but if you stop by the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site at 20 Vesey Street, same day passes are available at no cost.

There are a number of additional events happening around the city today, and our sister site, Ditmas Park Corner, put together a list of ways to honor the memory of those affected by the tragedy on 9/11.
