Hit-And-Run Drag Racer Hospitalizes Two Teens

Screenshot from ABC report.

Two 12-year-old boys were the victims of a hit-and-run in Gravesend last night, leaving one in critical condition and the other hospitalized with leg injuries.

The two teens were riding one bicycle – with one of the boys on pegs – near East 4th Street and Avenue S when they were struck just after 10 p.m. The car took off, leaving the boys on the ground, with at least one apparently unconscious, according to an ABC report.

Police believe the car that struck them was drag racing down the otherwise quiet street. They are still investigating the incident.

One of the boys is listed in critical condition with cerebral hemorrhaging at Lutheran Hospital.

  1. If they ever catch this idiot.   i hope they take his license away, and put him in jail for a few years.

  2. Sad for such an incident to occur but what were 12 year olds doing out past 10pm on a school night?
Im sure they will find the idiot whos responsible and watch it be a young prick just like in the previous hit and run by marine park..

  3. The owner of 212 Motoring by the UA theater was involved in a hgit and run and somehow bought his way out of it.  Just so everyone knows what a dirtbag he is before anyone brings him any business

  4. I was walking on my light, dude ran the light, speeding. Whats said is that block has a traffic light and a speed bump how did this happen?

  5. Hit and run’s are not “accidents”, they are the result of gross ego coupled with incompetence, and they continue because there is no sense of true responsibility. Time to stop talking about them as though they were just like the weather. The laws need to be changed to arrange real consequences.
