Sean Casey Animal Rescue, which has a location at 153 East 3rd Street between Caton and Fort Hamilton, is one of the few rescues in the city who takes in some of the more difficult medical cases, but that isn’t cheap.

“We are however beginning to reach our financial boundaries and will be forced to scale down our critical care program in the near future,” they wrote in a post on Facebook today. “We need your help to save this life saving program.”

They’ve set up a fundraiser, where they’re trying to raise $10,000 to help animals like the 15 dogs they recently rescued from an Amish Puppy Mill.

If you’d like to make a donation, you can do so online, or if you can’t contribute right now, there are always other ways you can help SCAR, like dropping off certain items that they always need, you volunteering to walk dogs or help out in other ways at the shelter, or adopting a new friend.
