Help Neighbor Alexander Nixon, Who’s Thisclose To Publishing His Novel “The Rise And Fall Of Apassionéa”

Ditmas Park local Alexander Nixon is on his way to publishing a book, The Rise and Fall of Apassionéa, and you can help him do it. As of this afternoon, Alex is $440 from his Kickstarter goal of $3,000–and his campaign is coming to a close. The approximately 150 page fantasy tale, inspired by the stories of a man Alex met during his time in the Peace Corps in Guatemala, is described:

A boy, named Mondragen, discovers a pack of forest trespassers trapped inside giant orchids and releases them. The leader of the prisoners, named Lor, tells the frightened, yet fascinated boy, how he and his band of outcasts ended up where they did.
Lor’s story gives Mondragen a glimpse into the dangerous world outside of Etzalini, or the green forest, taking Mondragen, and the reader, on an unforgettable voyage across the continent of Apassionéa.

Anyone who joins the over 70 people who have backed Alex’s dream so far will get a softcover or hardcover copy of the book and an accompanying CD (plus bragging rights for supporting a local artist), so if you’d like to contribute, do so before the campaign ends tomorrow.
