A 15-year-old girl went missing Wednesday morning, and police are turning to the public for help in the search.

Rocio Rosado left her home near Flatbush Avenue and Winthrop Street at 11:00 a.m. yesterday to take a summer exam at Cobble Hill High School (347 Baltic Street). Once out the door, her family and friends didn’t hear from her again.

Rosado is 5’4″, 125 lbs and has brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a white cardigan sweater and denim skirt.

Keep an eye out for Rosado, who may have been riding the Q, G, or 2 train, or the B41 bus as part of her commute to and from the school.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.

  1. This makes 6 missing girls in the area since June. What is going on here? Have any of them returned? What does the precinct have to say about this?

  2. At least a few of them are repeat runaways. Teenagers do extreme things, and it’s problematic but it’s not like some guy in a van is scooping them all up. That’s what’s going on here. Breathe.

  3. It would be great to have some follow up on all of these, it seems like there have been a really startling number.

  4. Well found this article after searching info on a mexican girl that went missing recently from Flatbush ave.
