Help Cops Find Credit Card Thief On A Shopping Spree

Help cops find a credit card thief who reportedly went on a handbag spender-bender with a stolen account.

A 30-year-old woman got a warning notice from Chase bank that someone was making unauthorized purchases on Sunday, April 2 — even though she still had the credit card in her possession, cops said.

Through surveillance footage, investigators discovered a woman using the stolen card information to buy a $1,143.19 handbag at Chanel and a $2,710.99 handbag at Bergdorf Goodman, both on 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, on Sunday, April 2, according to police reports.

The victim reported the crime in the 66th Precinct, which includes Kensington, Boro Park, and parts of Midwood and Sunset Park.
