A large piece of a landmarked building located on the corner of 7th Avenue & 9th Street came crashing down onto the sidewalk on Wednesday afternoon.

A fragment of 439 9th Street, the four-story apartment building that houses Smiling Pizzeria (323 7th Avenue) on the ground-floor, broke and fell through the restaurant’s awning, Patch reports.

The super of the building said he noticed debris falling from the building and sent a worker up to a third-floor apartment to investigate, according to the article. The worker reportedly touched a part of a window facade, causing a piece to break off and fall down on to 9th Street.

The building dates back to 1921, according to Property Shark.

The NYFD and DOB were notified of the incident. No injuries were reported.
