HBO’s television series “Girls” is headed our way, and the show will film tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16 on the following streets:

  • West side of McDonald Avenue, between Albemarle Road and Church Avenue.
  • South side of Albemarle Road, between Dahill Road and McDonald Avenue.
  • West side of Dahill Road between 12th Avenue and Tehama Street.

If you’re parked in that area, you’ll need to move your car by 6am Tuesday, or it will be towed to the nearest legal spot. If your car has been moved, call the Location Department at 718-906-2274 to locate it.

This isn’t the first time Lena Dunham’s “Girls” has come to our area; the show also filmed numerous times in Ditmas Park last year, with the neighborhood being shown as Iowa in the show’s fourth season. (If you walk by 1203 Albemarle Road, by Westminster Road, you can spot the house that Lena Dunham’s character rents in “Iowa.”)

Many thanks to neighbor Christine for passing on this filming photo to us. If you spot any signs for filming in our neighborhood, let us know! Email a photo of the filming sign to editor@kensingtonbk.com, and we’ll post it on the blog.
