Happy First Day Of School!
To celebrate the first day of school – and the impending autumn, Flatbush Food Co-op gave away more than 400 organic apples to neighborhood schools this morning.
The co-op, which shared this photo with us, held its annual back-to-school apple giveaway at PS 139, where about 200 pieces of fruit were given out, and it also sent a couple hundred apples to PS 217.
We hope all our neighborhood students, teachers and staff had a good day back!
