Gunpoint Robbery in Williamsburg Meatball Shop

In the early hours of Wednesday, August 9, two men brandishing a gun robbed The Meatball Shop in Williamsburg.

The two individuals entered the shop at 170 Bedford Ave at approximately 3:01am, said police. The two men approached a 30-year old male employee, forcing him down into the basement and demanding he open the safe. After removing around $2,000 cash from the safe, the individuals forced the employee into a walk-in freezer before fleeing, police reported.

Photos and surveillance videos show the men brandishing a handgun and forcing the employee into the freezer.

The first individual is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, about 6’0”, 210lbs, with a beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black baseball cap with “BROOKLYN” on it, according to police.

The second individual is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, around 6’1”, 280 lbs, with a beard and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black wrap around his hair, a purple longsleeve shirt and dark-colored pants.
