Get Free Recording Studio Time For Volunteering Through Prospect Park’s Beat Cave

Attention, budding musicians (and their parents): Prospect Park is holding an open house tomorrow (Saturday, March 29) for 15-26-year-olds who’d like to trade some time volunteering in the park for no-cost time in their recording studio, the Beat Cave.

For every eight hours of time volunteers put in, they can earn three hours in the Beat Cave with a professional recording engineer. The studio is great for hip hop recording artists, singer-songwriters, even poets who want a high quality sample of their work.

There are several different volunteer opportunities, but artists must attend an orientation to take part in the program. To take part in tomorrow’s event, be at the park’s Audubon Center at 3pm–or for more information, call 718-287-3400 x 303.
