Free Slice Alert! Di Fara Pizza Offering #UberPizzaParty
It has been said that there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.
Today, however, there is such a thing as a free slice.
On Thursday, May 5 (that’s today!), Uber is celebrating five years in New York with an #UberPizzaParty as well as providing $5 uberPOOL flat rates for rides that begin and end in Brooklyn, reported am New York.
And you can get that slice in our neighborhood — at Di Fara Pizza (1424 Avenue J and East 15th Street), to be exact. Those free slices are available today only, between 11am and 6pm.
What’s the catch? Don’t worry, you’re not going to get hosed by surge pricing today with this offer. All you need to do is have the Uber app on your phone and show it to the pizza folks at select locations.
In addition to Di Fara Pizza, the deal is good at three other Brooklyn locations:
- Two Boots Park Slope, 284 5th Avenue and 1st Street
- Two Boots Williamsburg, 558 Driggs Avenue
- Williamsburg Pizza, 265 Union Avenue
One caveat: When you go to the Uber link, it shows the Brooklyn date as Wednesday, May 4. We’re very sure this is a website error by Uber, but want to point this out.
Keep in mind that demand will be high for those slices. Uber posted that “Pizza will be provided on a limited, first-come, first-served basis.”
Our one piece of advice for the #UberPizzaParty? Please don’t eat it with a fork.
