[Updated: Wednesday, July 12 at 5:30pm] Unfortunately, due to the threat of rain, tonight’s movie has been canceled.

The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Forest City Ratner Companies are hosting Movies@MetroTech, a series of free, summer movies at the MetroTech Commons (Myrtle Promenade between Lawrence & Bridge Streets) every Wednesday evening throughout July.

The lineup of family-friendly flicks kicked off last week with Finding Dory. Tonight, July 12, will be a screening of Madagascar. A Bug’s Life is scheduled for next week, July 19, and Zootopia will wrap up the series on July 26.

All movies start at 7pm. Bring the kids and a picnic blanket. There’s a 50 percent chance of rain tonight, so you might want to pack an umbrella as well. Popcorn will be supplied!

Check out Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s website for more info.
