Today’s planned NYC Parks-sponsored sledding event, Glow In The Snow, has been postponed “until the next storm to allow the park to bounce back from #Juno,” announced Parks officials on the Fort Greene Park Facebook page.

“With the unprecedented day of sledding yesterday, we decided to give our slopes and the underlying grass a breather and not hold an organized high traffic event tonight.” says Park Director David Barker. “As the snow wears away, the grass is susceptible to damage and the likelihood of erosion increases. People are free to sled and play in the snow today, but expect icy conditions and please avoid areas where the hillside is starting to peak through the snow.”

So now we have something to look forward to after the next snowfall!
