Fort Greene is literally the perfect place to spend summer and a new study just confirmed it.

A new study by Renthop found Fort Greene and Brooklyn Heights-Cobble Hill tied for the best “SummerScore” in New York City, with a perfect 100. The study analyzed open source data and used metrics like dog poop, bike paths, outside eats, park coverage, and trees per person to determine that Fort Greene kicks ass.

“Brooklyn Heights has slightly lower poop complaints as well,” reads RentHop’s study, clearly ignoring how annoying the tiny, fluffy, ankle-biting yappers who make those smaller, more manageable poops are.

It makes sense that Fort Greene is finally getting its props. Alibi was just named the best bar in Brooklyn. Fort Greene Park is already great and it’s getting improvements. There are great, ever-expanding options for going out like Madiba, The Great Georgiana, the brand spankin’ new Dosa Royale and more. Oh, and this study is a product of open data, the same stuff that Pratt Professor Ben Wellington used to potentially save us all millions in parking tickets.
